Welcome to the latest instalment of Action Directe - Beyond Thunderdome. We are now in an advanced audio conflict situation, with guerrilla operations set to resume with much vigour over the coming weeks.
We can confirm that Action Directe will be hitting the blackened post-apocalyptic highways of Britain over the next two weeks, which will see the newly expanded live battalion in full swing. not only will these skirmishes see Charlotte Winchcombe fully ensconced on guitar, but these will also feature Dan Digicore on synths and a synth drummer, who cannot yet be named for security reasons.
Live operations so far confirmed are as follows:
Saturday 3rd October- Bradford - 1 in 12 Club (with The Ladder & one more t.b.c)
Saturday 10th October - Newcastle - Stripped @ The Globe
Saturday 24th October - Knaresbrough - Fusion (with Digicore)
Friday 20th November -Leeds - Amalgamation @ Santiagos
Saturday 28th November - Burton on Trent - Pitch Black @ The Appleby (with Digicore)
Further live manoeuvres are planned - watch this space for more details.
The Bradford date is the launch event for the bands' new album 'Vanguard'. This will be the first full-length album of new material from the band since 2006's 'Intervention', and shows a colder, more electronic side to the bands sound. Maximum dancefloor conflict is assured, as well as the usual political intrigue and audio warfare. Stay tuned here for more information as we get it.
Greetings brothers & sisters, and peace loving people throughout the world,
These are exciting times behind the Kremlin walls, as the Action Directe politburo gear up for an eventful end of the year. We are delighted to inform everyone that the drive for new blood to satisfy the Carpathian bloodlust of the central committee has proved successful, and the transfusion will give the band renewed vigour between now and Chinese new year.
First of all, we are proud to announce the recruitment of Charlotte Winchcombe (also of Mourning for Autumn) on guitar duties. Charlotte passed the rigorous ideological testing and 8-week physical endurance exam to gain full cadre status - and as a result she will receive her first blooding in live performance at the bands' next live outing:
Bad Moon Rising Live presents:
Action Directe + Suicide By Cop
Saturday 8th August @ The Manville Arms, Bradford
Free Admission, 8pm start
Goth/industrial/punk DJ til late!
As this will be the last time some of the bands vast oeuvre will be performed, pending new material, we kindly recommend you attend, drink and smile politely in your droves. For more information, please see http://www.gothupnorth.co.uk/badmoonrisi
In other news, the band are currently beavering away on their new magnum opus. The high-minded and groovy 'Vanguard' album will hit the decks in October, with a full UK tour being lined in towards the end of the year. The album will be seminal, and the new expanded Las-Vegas live line-up is not to be missed. Soviet-cyber-punk has never been so irresistible.
In the meantime, stay tuned to www.actiondirecte.co.uk for more updates and await the imminent full return of the industrial punk commandos. It's our way, or the highway the road of bones...

Comrades,
In order to progress our agenda for world domination, the A.D politburo has given itself permission to increase its size with some new musical talent.
Therefore, Action Directe are now looking to recruit the following cadres:
* A guitarist
* A synth-drummer
Ability to play synths and keyboards in addition would be an advantage.
No prior experience necessary, and as an equal opportunities employer we will accept applications from punks, goths, rivetheads, cybers and any other assorted nutters. NO reactionaries, NO wannabe porn stars and NO self-promoters, however.
If you don't know, Action Directe are an industrial-punk-goth band from Leeds, with a left-leaning political ideology (to put it mildly). Our main influences are New Model Army, Killing Joke, NIN, Conflict, The Clash, Discharge, PWEI and Nitzer Ebb.
Anybody interested please drop us a line here or via email to info@actiondirecte.co.uk.
Peace out,
Joel @ ADHQ
